Everyone sits in a circle with their drink. An arbitrary person starts by saying 1. People continue counting, each person saying one number, going clockwise in the circle. For the first round, the only rule is that the numbers 14 and 7 are switched, so you would count 1,2,3,4,5,6,14,8,9,10,11,12,13,7. If someone screws it up, they drink, and they start a new round by saying "1." If no one screws up and you get all the way to "7" (14), you all yell “Cheers Governor,” everyone drinks, and the person who ended the round (by saying 7) gets to choose a new rule. An example (one we used last night) would be: “5 is replaced with Chuck Norris jokes.” Then the same person who ended the previous round starts the next round with “1,” and you all would count “…3, 4, Chuck Norris CAN believe it’s not butter, 6, 14, 8…13, 7. If no one screws up, the person who ends the round by saying 7 gets to make a new rule to be added to the set of rules, and so the game goes on. Hella fun.
